Dr. Sven Kossack

Sven is a core member of BCG’s Energy practice area, specialising in the long and short-term commercialization of renewable power generation assets. He is an expert in sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and executing complex PPAs and other long term offtake agreements.
Before (re-)joining BCG, Sven held several leadership positions in the renewable’s business of RWE and E.ON. Most recently, as Head of Customer Solutions at RWE Supply & Trading, he was responsible for sourcing PPAs from RWE’s own assets and third parties for RWE’s large-scale customers.
Prior to RWE, he built up the European PPA function at E.ON and continued in the role as Head of PPA and Structured Origination at RWE Renewables. Before his PPA role, he helped to set up the Global Asset Commercialization function at E.ON.
Sven has extensive consulting experience from BCG and EON Inhouse Consulting, where he was involved in several transformation and improvement projects.
He is a chemical engineer and holds a PhD (Dr-Ing.) from RWTH Aachen University.
