Adam Thomsen

Adam was appointed Chief Development Officer (CDO) on 01 October 2025. He leads Skyborn’s global project development strategy and its execution across the company’s portfolio. His work focuses on securing and maturing the pipeline in line with Skyborn’s corporate strategy to reach a Final Investment Decision every 12 to 18 months in mature markets.

Adam has more than 12 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, spanning project delivery and leadership roles. He joined Skyborn Renewables in June 2023 as Project Development Director for the Nordics and later expanded his remit to the APAC region. He most recently served as Head of Market and Business Development, where he played a key role in fostering Skyborn’s global presence and building strategic partnerships.

His appointment reflects Skyborn’s commitment to developing internal talent and structuring the organisation to deliver on its long-term growth ambitions.

Before joining Skyborn, Adam spent a decade at Vestas Wind Systems where he gained deep industry experience, followed by a role at Obton, a major solar PV investor.

He holds a master’s degree in Political Science and in Accounting & Financial Management from Aarhus University. His career combines strategic vision, market development expertise, and leadership in project execution.
