In 2017, he began his work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation as an advisor to the Foreign Minister. In 2018, he became Deputy Director for European Affairs and subsequently Head of Staff to the Foreign Minister until August 2022.
He began his professional career at the Emirati energy group ADNOC. He then worked at a think tank in Abu Dhabi and also founded several start-ups in London and Abu Dhabi.
H.E. Alattar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petrolium Geosciences Engineering, a Master’s degree in International Security from University College London (UCL) and an MBA from the Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires (INSEAD) in France.
