Maurits den Broeder

Maurits den Broeder is a member of the Van Oord Executive Board, a position he has held since January 2020. Since 2018, he has also been Managing Director of the Offshore Energy division, where he is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of the company’s offshore energy activities.

Maurits den Broeder graduated as a mechanical engineer from Delft University of Technology and joined Van Oord in 1998. He began his career in research and development and was involved in the design, optimization and construction of advanced maritime construction machinery. He has built a diverse international career spanning engineering, project management, operations and leadership roles. He has held senior management positions in complex maritime infrastructure and land reclamation projects in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Throughout his career, Maurits den Broeder has combined in-depth technical expertise with strong operational and leadership skills and has played a central role in the implementation of complex maritime and offshore energy projects worldwide.
