Stefan Wenzel is an agricultural economist and former Parliamentary State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (2022–2025). He previously served as Minister for the Environment, Energy and Climate Protection and Deputy Minister-President of the State of Lower Saxony (2013–2017). From 2021 to 2025, he was a Member of the German Bundestag and chaired the Supervisory Board of the German Energy Agency (dena).
