Dr. Tim Fischer is an internationally renowned expert in the field of offshore wind energy. He has nearly 20 years of experience in the industry and has been with the German offshore industry since Alpha Ventus.
As Global Executive Director at Ramboll, the world’s leading independent wind energy consulting firm, he leads the global wind energy division with currently over 600 experts in more than 20 locations.
Dr. Tim Fischer studied wind energy at DTU in Copenhagen and subsequently received his PhD in aerospace engineering with a focus on wind energy from the University of Stuttgart. In addition to his work at Ramboll, he is active in various advisory roles, including as a member of the advisory board of FORWIND (Center for Wind Energy Research of the Universities of Oldenburg, Hannover and Bremen) and on the board of the US Business Network Offshore Wind.
