Matthias leads bp’s offshore wind business and is responsible for leading its expansion as well as overseeing delivery of all existing projects.
Matthias joined bp in August 2022 from Ørsted where he worked for more than nine years, most recently serving as president for the Asia-Pacific region. He has 14 years’ experience in renewable energy with a focus on developing, building and operating offshore wind projects.
Prior to Ørsted, Matthias worked for Siemens, heading its global business development for offshore wind.
This year, for the first time in the Economic Forum Offshore Wind history, we will leave the North Sea island of Helgoland and come together on the island of Rügen, in Binz, from 31st August to 1st September 2023.
