1987 Secondary school certificate in Stade.1990 Qualified as a chemical laboratory technician in Buxtehude.1993 Abitur via the 2nd educational path at the Wirtschaftsgymnasium in Stade. 1995 End of two-year military service as a reserve officer in the armored forces in Cuxhaven (now a retired captain). 2001 First State Examination in Law in Hamburg, 2005 Second State Examination in Law at the Higher Regional Court of Celle.

Since 2001 assistant to the management, then legal advisor/lawyer, then senior in-house counsel in an owner-managed, medium-sized group of companies in the environmental services sector. From 2007, he founded and established a subsidiary for the development of a recycling process for the high-tech material CFRP as Managing Director. Successful plant commissioning in 2010. 2011 Awarded the German Raw Material Efficiency Prize by the Federal Minister of Economics and another “Landmark in the Land of Ideas 2012” award.

1987 Joined the Junge Union, where he later became city, district and regional chairman. Joined the CDU in 1987, Chairman of the CDU Hansestadt Stade from 2003 to 2020 and member of higher-level party political committees. Honorary Chairman of the CDU Stade since 2020. Member of the Council from 1996 to 2021. 2011 to 2016 Deputy Mayor of the Hanseatic City of Stade. Member of the Stade district council since 2001, deputy chairman of the CDU district parliamentary group and chairman of the recycling and waste management committee. Directly elected member of the German Bundestag since 2013.
